Barefoot
Last night my friend Mandy took me to the CLF Feministmas and it was such a great, great evening.
I did a quick ink and gouache painting of Alexandra Oke who sung barefoot. She blew us all away and when she hit the really big note ( apologies, I know nothing of the musical language ) I saw Karen’s hand shoot to her heart and felt my jaw clench – I have to see this woman sing again.

Women of Letters sketches
I did many more sketches but I don’t think they were very good. I think my drawings of the audience are the better ones, so I will do that next time.
Face, tum & feed drawings
I have many sketch books that are filled up and I keep meaning to share them, but there are so many and I try to keep each post themed and then I just get overwhelmed or there is something else I have to tend to – Toddler, deadline, laundry – don’t forget to be social Lily.
Toddler has been demanding that I draw her lately.
“Mumma, draw me, draw me mumma, MUMMA DRAW ME!”
( FYI she is now sitting in my lap and we are fighting for the desk space.. Talk about multi tasking future employer poeple! )
