Not at all. I wrote it wasn’t what I expected- what I meant by that is you didn’t get a sense of disaster or of life leading up to it and no eerie feelings at all!
Pompeii has a pizza shop in the middle of it and most parts are roped off with lots of signage and very little ‘remains’ left in it. Herculaneum gave you a bit more of a sense of everyday life, but again no remains are there and lots of parts roped off. I didn’t get any feelings from it apart from marveling at the piping systems and roller doors for shops. They didn’t feel like real towns.

Is it eerie visiting the ruins?
